Fenland Tackle Exchange is not like other tackle shops. In fact, we’re not really a shop at all. At least, not in the traditional sense.

Rather, we’re sort of a ‘hybrid’. Combining proven old school tackle and bait brands with convenient out of hours collection and free local delivery in the fenland region. 

Which for you means: bargain brand prices, with local back-up and after sales support.

So, why do we do things differently? Well, because the modern fishing industry has gone a bit mad, hasn't it?

More Sense Than Money

If you’ve stepped into a glossy, high-street tackle "megastore" lately, you’ve probably noticed two things: everything is neon-coloured, and everything costs a small fortune. They want to sell you the latest carbon-fibre gadget that promises to "revolutionise" your casting, usually at a price that would make a bank manager wince.

At Fenland Tackle Exchange, we reckon that’s a load of old codswallop. We cater to the experienced angler—the person who knows that a Mitchell reel or a Gardner rig component caught fish thirty years ago and will catch them just as well today. We focus on trusted brands like JRC and Wychwood, Maver and MAP. These aren't the "trendy" names of the week; they are the reliable workhorses of the angling world.

The ‘Used’ Advantage

Unlike the big retail chains that only want to sell you shiny new boxes, we have a healthy respect for gear with a bit of history. We buy and sell used fishing tackle because we know that "pre-loved" usually means "battle-tested."

If you’ve got a garage full of rods you haven't touched since the 90s, or a heap of unwanted equipment taking up space, bring it to us. We’ll give it a fair look and a fair price. It helps keep fishing affordable for everyone, and it ensures that good, solid gear stays on the bank where it belongs.

Fenland Convenience (Without the Parking Fines)

We don't have a fancy showroom with a coffee machine and a "consultant" in a branded polo shirt. What we do have is a Tackle Trade Counter in March.

• Out of Hours Collection: We know you’ve got a job. You can’t always nip out at 11:00 AM on a Tuesday. We offer collection by appointment at times that actually suit a working person.

• Free Local Delivery: If you’re in the Fens—covering much of Cambs and Norfolk—and your order is over £25, we’ll bring it to you. No petrol costs, no city centre traffic. Just honest bait and tackle dropped at your door.

• The Weekend Rumble: Every Saturday, we open up our warehouses on City Road for our weekly stock clearance sale. It’s a bit like a treasure hunt, but with more groundbait and fewer pirates. 

• Plus, we give big brands the boot every Sunday - at Skylark Boot Sale, in Wimblington.

Why We Aren’t ‘Trendy’

You won’t find us using words like "game-changer" or telling you that a particular boilie will "elevate" your angling experience. We prefer to tell you that a hook is sharp, a line is strong, and a bait, well, just works.

We’re a small, local outfit. When you buy from us, you aren’t paying for a massive marketing budget or a posh storefront in a retail park. You’re paying for gear that delivers results. At affordable prices. With local support and service.
