Whole maize is widely regarded as one of the greatest, most reliable carp baits of all time. Favoured by experienced anglers who value proven results over passing trends, this traditional particle bait is highly effective and exceptionally economical.

This product is supplied unprepared in unbranded grip-seal bags, allowing you to prepare the bait to your own exact preferences.

Preparation Guide & Fish Safety Notice

CAUTION: All dry particles and nuts absorb water and expand once submerged. To ensure they are completely safe for fish to consume, they MUST be prepared correctly before use. Do not introduce unprepared dry maize into any fishery.

1. Soak: Fully submerge the maize in water for a minimum of 24 to 48 hours.

2. Boil: Bring the pan to a boil and cook the kernels for 20 to 30 minutes, or until they begin to split.

Top Tip: Whole maize can be prepared plain, or with added salt or sugars. We recommend preparing it with salt in the spring leading up to spawning, switching to sugars throughout the summer and into autumn.
