Copdock Angling Unprepared Tares – 900g Bag

A traditional coarse fishing bait for roach, dace and carp, Copdock Angling Unprepared Tares are supplied in 900g bags, ready for soaking and cooking before use.

Once prepared, tares make an effective hookbait for targeting roach and dace, particularly when fishing with a size 16 or 18 hook. They can also be added to carp particle mixes, providing a natural food source containing oils and sugars.

Tares are particularly effective when used alongside Copdock Angling Hemp Seed, making them a useful addition to your bait selection for river, canal and stillwater fishing.

Preparation instructions

These tares are supplied unprepared and MUST be properly soaked and cooked before use.

Soak the tares in plenty of water, then boil and simmer until they have softened and reached the desired consistency.

For hookbait use, aim for a soft outer skin while retaining enough firmness for the tare to remain securely on the hook.

Allow to cool before use.

Do not feed unprepared tares to fish.
