Engineered for Long-Distance Precision The Shimano Speedcast 14000 XTB is a dedicated big pit reel designed for anglers targeting large UK venues and expansive continental waters. Built using Shimano’s durable XT-7 carbon material, this reel provides a lightweight yet rigid foundation capable of handling high-impact casting and the pressure of large fish.

We have three units available, all in immaculate used condition. These have been thoroughly inspected to ensure the mechanical components remain as efficient as intended.

Casting Technology: This model utilizes the A-RC cold-forged aluminium spool. The oversized, tapered profile and unique angled spool lip significantly reduce friction during the cast, helping to maintain line momentum and prevent wind knots. Combined with Aerowrap II—a two-speed slow oscillation worm system—the reel delivers uniform line lay that is essential for achieving maximum distance.

Power and Retrieve: Under the hood, the Speedcast features X-Ship technology, which supports the pinion gear at both ends with Shimano ARB bearings. This eliminates friction and ensures maximum power transfer from the handle to the gears.
